The 285 can carry up to 95kgs (including the paddler) which makes this one a perfect choice for kids or lighter paddlers who are under 190 cms. There is room behind the seat for items such as drybags and storage pockets for smaller items built into the padded high back seat. Whether you're packing snacks or spare clothing, you'll have ample space to keep everything secure and within reach.
The Laxo 285 is equipped with front and rear carry handles allowing you to move your kayak to and from the water with ease. It also comes with a premium highback EVA cushioned seat and the adjustable D-buckle system allows you to fine-tune the seat position via the seat straps and velcro. Simply clip them in and personalise your seating position just the way you like it. The backrests of the seats also contain storage pockets for storage of smaller items such as keys, a phone or a convenient place to attach a drybag.
Weighing in at only 12kgs, the Laxo 285 is easy to transport via the kit carry bag making it a great addition to a day on the dam, your next camping trip or added to the caravan. Whatever trip you are planning, your kayak will always be ready to pop in the car and go. Once you are at your launch location, inflation is quick and easy via the 3 inflation valves (2 air chambers on either side and 1 for the floor). Simply connect the supplied foot pump via the Boston valves inside the kayak and inflate. Spend less time setting up and more time on the water.
The two-center fin system provides excellent straight-line tracking, allowing you to glide effortlessly through the water enjoying a smooth and stable ride, no matter the conditions. The 285 is a fantastic entry level kayak at a great price but it does lack a drop stitch floor.
