The AE1007-E Convertible Elite is a kayak that is simply a joy to paddle. It tracks straight and is a very fast kayak in the water thanks to the patented aluminium rib frame design that the AdvancedFrame range is known for. This design incorporates aluminium ribs in the bow and stern, creating a chiselled profile that allows the kayak to effortlessly cuts through the water. You don't need to install it, it's built into the kayak! 

In addition to the AdvancedFrame, the Convertible Elite also contains a one piece drop stitch floor. It's removable too making cleaning a breeze. Drop stitch is the same technology used to make stand-up paddleboards and when inflated, the floor is incredibly rigid and gives the kayak hard-shell-like performance when on the water.

Combining the drop stitch floor and the Advanced Frame technology gives the kayak outstanding stability and tracking performance even in windy conditions or choppy waters.

The Convertible Elite is Tough and ready for adventure!

The Convertible Elite can carry a whopping 249kgs! Meaning you could literally pack the kitchen sink if you wanted too. The weight capacity makes this kayak a popular choice for kayak campers and those looking to do multi day trips. There is a large deck space at the front with bungee cord and clips as well as 4 D-Rings on the rear deck to secure items like drybags and backpacks. It's worth noting that the Advanced Elements Deep Six Drybag Backpack is designed to fit the rear of this kayak too.

Durability is a hallmark of Advanced Elements Kayaks and the Convertible is no exception. It's constructed with a multi-layer design. In fact, in the front and the rear of the kayak, there are as many as six layers making it highly durable. The hull outer layer is made from three layers of PVC tarpaulin, which is tough and resistant to punctures. The next layer is a rip stop tube cover which encases the tube and won’t fray or tear. Inside the tube cover, the thick PVC tube contains two chambers for added safety which gives this kayak an open water rating so you have confidence on long trips and in open ocean.

Easy Setup in Around 8 Mins

Setting up the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite takes around eight minutes using the double action hand pump provided. The setup process involves inflating the two main chambers, the drop-stitch floor, deck lifts and a thwart. The seats are then clipped in, pop your paddles into the paddle keepers on the side and you're ready to go.

You choose, paddle solo or tandem

The Convertible Elite can be paddled solo or tandem courtesy of its three seating positions. For tandem, simply clip both seats into the outer positions. If you want to paddle solo, you can remove one seat and move the remaining seat to the centre position. This makes the kayak a great choice for those that would like the option to paddle solo if they wish effectively meaning that are purchasing two kayaks for the price of one. 

Convert to a sit in in seconds with a deck conversion kit

The Convertible Elite is the only kayak in the Advanced Elements range that has the option to “convert” into a closed-in-cockpit with the addition of a Deck Conversion Kit. The kit attaches in seconds via the thick zip that runs around the outside of the cockpit which also gives you the option to attach a spray skirt. Adding the spray skirt enables you to stay dry and venture into choppy open ocean. If you aren't into open ocean paddling, it also allows you to keep the warmth in, meaning you can paddle in cooler months of the year extending your paddling season and getting the most out of your kayak. The deck conversion kit is available in both solo and tandem configuration.

Bring a companion with the zip down deck!

The zip-down front deck is a standout feature allowing the front paddler to zip down the deck and open it up. A great feature when bringing along a child or a four-legged companion as it creates a space for them up the front and keeps them clear of the front paddlers paddle stroke. This feature is also great if you are packing gear that won’t fit under the front deck. 

Comfortable Seating for Hours on The Water.

The AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite is a kayak you can paddle for hours thanks to is patented Advanced Elements Deluxe Seat. It contains an inflatable lumbar support chamber that you can adjust while you are on the water via a mouth piece giving you the ability to adjust your comfort and support while on the water to find the right fit. The seat has adjustable straps and a thick breathable padded base, not like the ones you see at major outdoor chains. The seat is easy to install, easy to remove and is stored inside the bag alongside the kayak.
